Crisp black and white artwork is necessary to create a legible imprint. Complex artwork or text smaller than a 7 point font will not produce solid impressions.
For best results please submit your artwork in the following formats: .TIF, .EPS, .PDF (vector) or .AI
Digital TIF (raster) or EPS (vector) files produce the best results. For EPS formatted files please be sure to outline all text before submission
Vector: Vector art is made up of lines and curves defined by mathematical objects called Vectors. Vector art is resolution independent. Therefore it can be scaled to any size without loss of quality. This format is the preferred format for stamp artwork. Text should be converted to outlines, paths or curves. By doing this, the font suitcase and printer fonts do not need to be sent in addition to the art. File extensions: .EPS, .PDF, .AI
Raster: Raster art is created using a program like Adobe Photoshop or scanned art (photographic image). A raster image consists of a grid, or bitmap, of small squares known as pixels. Raster images are resolution dependent (set at a fixed resolution). Files submitted in this format need to be of 300dpi resolution. File extensions: .TIF, .JPG
Camera-Ready black and white artwork may also be submitted via postal mail. Please be sure to properly protect your artwork from potential uncontrollable damage from postal machines by "sandwiching" the art between two pieces of sturdy cardstock. Our general policy is to return artwork only upon request so please specify to your sales representative at the time of ordering if you would like your artwork returned.
Signature samples need to be made using a solid felt pen or a black ballpoint pen on unlined paper. Use a firm pressure when writing your name and be sure to provide three separate signatures. Please do not write the name where it collides with other elements of the page. Groups of signatures may be provided on the same sheet of paper as long as the recipients are clearly designated. Please be sure to provide a typed or printed version of the name(s) submitted under the "Special Instructions" section of your order form.
It is not recommended to submit signatures via fax due to uncontrolled degredation of image quality which varies by machine.
Artwork may be submitted via email, post mail or via fax. If faxing please be aware of image degradation that may occur. Artwork easily becomes distorted and unusable. Our preferred method of file transfer is email to wenorder@wendellsinc.com for uncompressed artwork smaller than 4MB; for larger files please contact a service representative for alternate methods.
Artwork creation and modification service is available at a rate of $45.00 per hour.
